The business founder, Justin, has an extensive background as an electronic technician for small business office equipment, developing considerable skills in communications, data networks, and cabling. In the last decade, he re-trained to complement this knowledge base with a formal qualification as an A-Grade Electrician, learning and applying new skills in an exciting and innovative industry.

Promoting Women in Trades

Justin is joined in the business by his daughter Mia, who recently completed her apprenticeship with Lumitec. During her formal training with Box Hill Institute, Mia has been recognised for her pursuit of academic achievements. Her persistence and conviction in following this path and promoting the role of women in trades made her a worthy scholarship recipient. Justin is proud to have his daughter as a valued member of the team, her drive to succeed in the industry, friendly manner and ability to communicate effectively with clients are assets to the business.

Welcoming the latest member of the Team

Keeping things in the family, we recently welcomed Jared as the newest member of the Lumitec team, having commenced his apprenticeship in Electrotechnology. Jared’s interest in electronics and computer networking, as well as 3D printing and CAD design, has already made a valuable contribution and will expand our skills and add dimension to the business in the years to come.
